Creative Writing - The Return of the Stone

The Return of the Stone.
By Seth McGlynn
I am learning to entertain my audience.

One spooky day, there was a boy and a girl who were so bored of doing nothing, they decided to head down to the spooky lake.

They were walking on top of the flat stones, crunch, crunch, crunch,  listening to the stones crunching together under their feet.  Finally they arrived at the lake.  Both of them looking forward towards the lake looking  through the blurry mist of fog.

Both of them picked up a rock, the rock dull in colour, smooth, small enough to fit perfectly in their hands.  Pulling their arm back and threw the rock, skipping it across the  still water.  The rocks skimming, causing ripples to explode like little bombs.

They did not know there was something strange going on but suddenly out of the mist in the background a stone came skipping back the boy picked up the stone, turning it over.  There was a message carved into the stone, in small thin letters. The message said “I will find you.”   Now at this point they knew that something was wrong.

So they sprinted as fast as possible huffing and puffing, with fear and fiery.  They reached their house slamming the door and locking it behind them, both zooming up to their rooms with terror and locking their door, crying to go to sleep but all the horrible flashbacks  were  coming back into their minds and they kept coming until their end.
