Dragons group - The disappearing Tiger

Post by Kimberly, Greer and assisted by Kathryn.

The Dragons are one of Room 6's reading groups. Our reading group have been learning how to make a disappearing Tiger. First you get an A4 piece of paper, then you cut the paper so it's square and with the leftover paper you use it to draw eight lines and in between the lines you skip one line each time and you draw a tiger in between the skipped lines. After that you get a craft knife to cut the lines on the card board and finally you weave your picture in between the open lines and you will have a disappearing Tiger.  Can you see how our tigers disappeared.

Persuasive Writing - Cooking with Insects

Hi Miss such, beautiful Down!

I want to make origami. In Origami you do folding. Origami is an object and craft.

Origami is a paper or any thing you like with instructions and you can make a cup or a ship.

So don’t put paper in rubbish bin, just use that paper to make origami, lots of people waste paper putting it in the bin. Paper can make a lot of things, so please don’t put the paper in the rubbish bin, just make origami!

Oh!! Origami is such fun. You can use anything to make origami, not just paper.

You need to let us make this with the class because this is good for the class. All the people will love origami and they will want to do origami! It’s educational. We all want to do it in classroom. Origami is beneficial to maths, art and developing social kills.

So please teach as origami, everybody wants to do it so please teach us!

THANK YOU!

Creating Chinese Lanterns

Chinese lanterns are really fun and at the same time you're making origami, which can be a group activity.

They look very beautiful and pretty once they are done.

We used different beautiful coloured paper. In our classroom we have them small and big.
