Creative Writing - Mr Man and the Mysterious Chair

Mr Man and the Mysterious Chairs

By Ethan Gaoa

Mr Man is a man who is all about perfection, he doesn’t do what other people do, all he does is stay inside, tidy up his whole house and tend to his garden. But one day while Mr Man was outside looking at all of his  beautiful plants in his garden,he saw something very unexpected, it was an old fashioned chair.

He felt kind of weird because the chair wasn’t there yesterday? So who had given it to him he thought, who had returned it?  After he had finished looking at his plants he was so tired that he decided to have a cosy tester on the chair, but as soon as he sat down... He felt the chair suddenly whisk him away into a different country on a way different chair.

He tried to figure out where he was and finally some people from the country came up to him and asked in a different language what he was doing, and then he guessed by their accents that he was in Paris.  But then ...  suddenly he was whisked away again to another country, but this time he knew what country it was because he had been here before on a holiday and the country was New Zealand.

But when he thought about it he thought he would get whisked away like last time. So he thought New Zealand over and over again so he never left the country and he was stuck on the chair forever. The End

The second week of school the Year 6 students were off, all 35 of us, oh and the 7 adults we needed to supervise off.  We had so much fun team building and focusing on leadership.  Here is a snapshot of what our week was like.  We had so much fun and we are all excited for the year ahead.
