At the beginning of  term 3 we had started feeling nervous doing our rubric and storyboard and even though we couldn't get through to each other we decided to join them together and when we did our movie some things changed  and it was a wonderful experience we all enjoyed doing this movie we hope you enjoy our movie.                                                     

Mothers Day Tribute

Dear mum

You are like a tree growing wiser each day. You make me laugh when I am sad, your heart is filled with joy and glee. When I cuddle my teddy bear it reminds me of you. You are fierce like a tiger protecting me like a cub. You are a blessing in disguise that helps me when I am sick and you help me when I cry.

Room 6's Funky Seahorses

The Cherubs are one of Room Six's reading groups.  We have been busy researching facts and creating interesting ways to display information.  We decided to make mobiles with seahorses. We collected information through reading books and searching information about seahorses, we wrote a P.M.I (Positive, Minus and Interesting Chart) in our exercise books and we coloured and decorated seahorse templates. We then typed and printed out their key facts in our own words and stuck them on the back of the seahorses. The cherubs got cardboard tubes, wrapped them up in red and blue tissue paper. Finally they tied and glued string to the covered tubes and hung them up on display in room 6.

Persuasive Writing - Cooking with Insects

The Gang of Insects

How do you like yours? Beetle ice cream with ant sprinkles or cockroach soup with mealworms? Bon Appetite. Yes I am a world famous chef at Best Diets. Now I advise you to cook and eat insects. It is true, they’re delicious, scrunches and crunchy. I will highlight the positive of cooking with insects. I wonder why people say they are gross because they’re NOT.

            Did you know how cheap they are, they cost a few dollars you can find them cheap in a lot of places and countries such as Italy, Australia or even France I strongly advise you to buy some insects why not find some I’ll tell you where.

 You can find them in your gardens, countries, camp sites, some shops, and many more like your backyard why don’t you pick some up just plant some vegetables.

You can find them in a lot of places like France with snails, Italy or Canada with Cazzu Mazzu, the Amazon you can eat arachnids (spiders), most countries have cockroaches, mealworms, crickets, beetles and grubs. Also in New Zealand Hu Hu grubs and in Beijing scorpions you can try them many different ways it will make history.

Why not try them BBQ (barbecued), candied, deep fried, roasted, or marinated, there are many different ways to eat insects and also one more sprinkled on ice cream you and your energetic body won’t regret it.

In conclusion you must, you have to I’ve shared the facts and how they are really good for you it helped me so it will help you now try find, catch, cook some delicious recipes for you and your family.

Maths Monster Mashes

For maths we did Monster Mash. We did a certain number of body parts which was 100 bp (body parts). We had to make our own monster and make up a name for them. 

Mine was called the Double Demon Feeder (Ashton) and Earls was SnorBlob. We did tails, teeth and much more like tentacles. We also did moustaches and even beards. 

We used A3 black pieces of paper, we also used vivid to draw on the paper. We used white paper for telling the body parts. We used  scissors,  pipe cleaners and there are also googly eyes that we used and shiny spots along side with coloured pieces of paper. 

We did it because we had to make number bonds. We had to use our imagination to do it.
