Starlight Productions
We had lots of fun making our film.At first we had to make a story board to help us understand what we were going to do. Then we got to film which was our favorite. After that we got to editing using imovie.As well as doing all of that we also created a billboard and a presentation showing our process.

Dragons group - The disappearing Tiger

The Dragons are one of Room 6's reading groups. Our reading group have been learning how to make a disappearing Tiger. First you get an A4 piece of paper, then you cut the paper so it's square and with the leftover paper you use it to draw eight lines and in between the lines you skip one line each time and you draw a tiger in between the skipped lines. After that you get a craft knife to cut the lines on the card board and finally you weave your picture in between the open lines and you will have a disappearing Tiger. Can you see how our tigers disappeared.

Persuasive Writing - Cooking with Insects
COOKING WITH INSECTS
Creepy, crunchy, there can only be one thing insects. There are so many insects Beetles, Cockroaches, Spiders and crickets. I am a world famous chef for cooking insects and I feel we should all try insects once at least.
Everyone should eat insects because they are very good for your health and also low in fat you will also be happy that this is just another way to make your life better because meal time will be fun with new flavours
Some people say insects are disgusting but at the other side of the world people gulp them down like treats. I think insects are delicious and everyone should eat them because they are exotic and extremely tasty.
People eat insects from all over the world like in France people eat snails also in Canada they eat cockroach cheese. In New Zealand we have scorpion lollipops and huhu grubs all of they are all really tasty but my favourite is huhu grubs because they taste like peanut butter. They are not in super markets but you can find them in the bush.
In conclusion I think everyone MUST eat insects. Everyone should eat insects because they are very healthy and also are low in fat. Y ou will also be happy that this is just another way to make your life better. I hope I have convinced you that insects are good to eat. Many people eat insects and you should too.

Community Topic
In room 6 we have been learning about community. Each group had a different topic to research and the topics were teamwork, leader, leadership, effective communication, role model and responsible leader. All of the groups had to define their topics, into a small paragraph.
First of all we made teams to do research on our word. Second we made our definition and wrote it in our books. Then we typed it up on the computer and printed it and stapled it on the wall. We enjoyed doing research on community because we found out lots of information that we did not know before.
We are learning about community because we need to understand what a community means for the future. Community is important for us to understand and to be social with others. We live in a community, so we should know what a community is. One thing we have learn is that you can’t have a community without a group of people.
