Dragons group - The disappearing Tiger

Post by Kimberly, Greer and assisted by Kathryn.

The Dragons are one of Room 6's reading groups. Our reading group have been learning how to make a disappearing Tiger. First you get an A4 piece of paper, then you cut the paper so it's square and with the leftover paper you use it to draw eight lines and in between the lines you skip one line each time and you draw a tiger in between the skipped lines. After that you get a craft knife to cut the lines on the card board and finally you weave your picture in between the open lines and you will have a disappearing Tiger.  Can you see how our tigers disappeared.

Persuasive Writing - Cooking with Insects

Dreamy Insects

What could have six legs and eight eyes that’s right, insects. I am a world famous chef and today I’m going to take you on a fabulous journey to inspire you to cook with insects.

Insects are a healthy treat for you. They have lots of good vitamins as well. There are some great recipes for cooking with them and one of the recipes might be a perfect on for you.
Sometimes I find old bugs and put them in my boiling pot of water. If you don’t eat bugs you must be living under a rock or something.
Some of the reasons why I like to include bugs in my meals is because they are healthy low in fat and a tasty treat. Some of the insect’s you can eat are Huhu grubs   and there is even Ice cream and ant sprinkles.
As you can see insects are the healthiest treats which can come from all around the world. They can also be included in one of your favourite recipes. There for you must eat Insects.

Pieces of the Puzzle

In Room Six, we have been learning that everyone in this class is a part of the community of the school.

We have done pieces of a puzzle and put them in our cloak bay.

Without one person in our class our puzzle is incomplete. Some people have done very colourful and bold ones and others have just done simple but effective ones.
