Rainbow Unicorn Productions

During Term Three, room six worked hard with Miss Gleeson to create an advert about an everyday  object. Every Tuesday in the middle block we would film, edit and make billboards which would get marked on a rubric. We worked hard on this and we hope you like it.

Mothers Day Tribute

To Mummy

Mummy, you smell like clean sheets of the washing you do. I love when you hug me and I can wrap my arms around you and surround you with love. You help me always and love me back. I love you mummy to the moon and back you help me with problems as big as the earth and the bond between us can never break

Wizards - Shark Poster

In room 6 the wizards (a reading group) made posters with information on sharks, by writing up facts we found from a range of sources.  We read articles, we searched the library and we also used the internet.  We read and transferred this knowledge into our own ideas and typed out the facts and things we found important.  We printed them out and stuck them onto our posters or sharks we drew and painted. Some of us also made fish to put on and decorate. Here is a picture some of posters about sharks.  Come and check them out in room 6.

Persuasive Writing - Cooking with Insects

Taste Explosion… of Bugs
What is crunchy, delicious and really good for you? That’s right, insects. Insects taste amazing, they’re healthy and it’s a quick and easy snack. As a world famous chef I have been cooking insects into all my stews, lasagnas, soups, pizzas and hidden them in everything I cook, when I shouldn’t have to when insects are so delectable.
Insects are quite tasty. If you just tried one or two you’d find they are really spectacular. Some of them even taste like things you know and love, like huhu grubs taste like peanut butter. Not only are they yummy though, they are also really good for you and great if you’re on a diet.
Bugs are really healthy for you. They have a lot of your healthy vitamins. When you eat bugs you don’t even need to exercise, so sit back, relax, and eat bugs. You will also be pleased to know that a bug or two a day keeps the doctor away.
Insects are a delicacy for people all around the world and they’re used in recipes everywhere. Some countries are even famous for eating these yummy little critters. For example, France is well known for eating snails. I use them all the time in worm soup, weevil lasagna, caterpillar ice cream with bits of cicadas and many more things. You must try insects in or on your food.
With all things considered, you must eat or include insects in your diet because they are really nice, healthy for you and people all around the world eat them. I strongly think that people should be using insects in their cooking.

Pieces of the Puzzle

In Room Six, we have been learning that everyone in this class is a part of the community of the school.

We have done pieces of a puzzle and put them in our cloak bay.

Without one person in our class our puzzle is incomplete. Some people have done very colourful and bold ones and others have just done simple but effective ones.
