The Mysterious Lantern

One night, there was a man on a deck above a deep blue ocean. The name of the man on the deck was John and he was holding a mysterious lantern. On the lantern it said, warning, when you wave the lantern three times something comes to you!. So he read what it said and felt a bit uncomfortable, so he went home.
The next day, he went to the place where he was last night, but this time something was wrong. So he waved the lantern three times and then a paper plane came flying to him. So he unfolded the paper plane and on the paper plane It had blood. Then he waved the lantern three times and then a ball came flying to him, but it had nothing on it so he went home and had a rest.
But the third time he went there, there was something that was really different. There was scratches on the grass and there was footprints on the grass as well. So he followed were the trail footprints, but the footprints lead him to his friends house.When he went in his friend's house his friend wasn’t there then he said “hello?, anybody there,” so he wave the lantern three times and he woke up in his bed and his lantern was on the table and it was 7:30 am.
Was it just a dream?Or was it really him doing it?
