What has light brown fur and has antlers? yes that's right, deer. The most common colour for deer is light brown but female deer have light brown fur with white spots. Deer have black beady eyes with small tails, weighing up to 30-300 kg (adult), the most common age for a deer to pass away is four to six years old but the maximum age is 20, no deer has gone over 20 years old in the world.

Diet

What do deer eat? Well deer are herbivores and that means they only eat

plants, fruit and nuts and can eat up to five to nine pounds per day. Seasonal changes and deer pressure all affect the availability of foods that deer eat, so in the winter all leaves full off trees so they eat grass and evergreen leaves, and in the summer they eat plants, fruit and nuts.

Habitats

Deers are located in every country in the world apart from australia antarctica and a few cities in america, and in africa there is only one species of deer, the red deer, which is a deer that has a shade of red that almost looks like a light brown colour. If you wanted to find a deer you would either go to farms, Forests or mountains in damp areas with shelter. Deer natural habitats are throughout america, canada and mexico, and were introduced into new zealand finland, czech republic and much more.

Breeds

There are many breeds of deer but the most common breed of deer is white tailed deer, Red deer and the sika deer, the white tailed deer has a patch of white on its tail, the red deer is a shade of red that almost looks like brown, and the sika deer is a small or medium sized depending on where it lives, and it usually has a small head and little slim legs. It may surprise you that there are over 100 subspecies of the deer and over 30 million deer in the world.

Well now you know what a deer looks like, what it eats, its habitat and last but not least breeds of deer. Deers have light brown fur but females have light brown fur with white spots, its habitat is everywhere apart from australia, antarctica and a few cities in america, there are over 100 subspecies of Deer, and they like to eat plants, fruit and nuts.
